Cozy Travel Outfit

When I don’t travel for a while I get some serious ants in my pants. I’ve been itching to get out of town since the holidays and when we had to cancel our tropical spring break last minute, my heart sank in my chest not only because I was missing out on sunshine and the ocean but because I start feeling so stuck in my routine without changing it up.

That being said, I’m so so so excited to be hopping on a plane tomorrow to visit my sister who recently moved to LA. Of course the heat wave is breaking the day I get there (just my luck!) but 70 degree weather will be a giant improvement from the sub-zero tundra that is Connecticut right now.

We’ll be spending some time at her house in Venice, hopping over to Beverly Hills for a night and then heading inland to visit my grandparents over the weekend. I’m looking forward to eating lots of fresh, healthy food, running outside, not wearing my down jacket, and enjoying a few California sunset.

I’m leaving my coat at home, so plan to layer-up big time on the plane with my favorite drapey sweater (first seen here) which is on major sale right now, and a striped scarf over the white tee that I always wear when I travel.
