Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Poncho (Similar for $45) / Similar Bag / Striped Turtleneck

When my dad was leaving my house after visiting last weekend, he waved goodbye with an “I’ll see you next week for Thanksgiving.” I looked at him like he was crazy. Then I looked at the calendar and realized that Thanksgiving is a week from Thursday. How did that happen? I feel like having a baby has completely skewed my sense of time. I had her almost four months ago but it feels like yesterday. Pretty sure we’re all living in the twilight zone over here.

Anyway I haven’t even thought about what I will wear for Thanksgiving… not that anyone will care because it will be all about the baby this year. But I hadn’t started thinking about her outfit either. She has this cute plaid dress (Its’ now over 50% off btw) that I might throw on over navy tights with a little white bow in her hair. I feel like buying something new for a baby who spits up a lot is crazy. I’ll probably have to end up changing her into a onesie halfway through the day anyway.

If you have any other outfit ideas for her, throw them my way! She’s wearing a Ralph Lauren blackwatch dress in our holiday card (25% off) which is the cutest ever but my aunt’s house is always super cold so short sleeves are not an option. I bought her this outfit for the holiday season but it’s still slightly too big so that’s out unless she has a major growth spurt in the next week.

I digress… Baby dresses are just too cute!

Here are a bunch of potential Thanksgiving looks from casual to fancy and everything in between. I hope they help inspire your Thanksgiving day looks.  Total side bar, I’m loving Tuckernuck’s Thanksgiving shop. This blackwatch button down might be just the thing I need for the day to pair with black pants and pumps. I also love this dress although it’s a bit pricey.

Ok what are you guys wearing for Thanksgiving?

I keep hoping they’ll restock that burgundy Rachel Parcell dress, which I love so much. We’re keeping Thanksgiving casual this year, so I plan to wear jeans, a black cashmere turtleneck, and a black and gray plaid poncho that I found at Tuckernuck – thanks to your recommendation to check out their guide!
