Pineapple Sweater

Sweater, Shirt, and Shoes c/o Talbots / Jeans / Custom Sofa / Rug / Tray / Glasses

Since we moved into the new house four months ago, we’ve hosted more guests than in the last two years combined! I finally live in a home that I’m proud of and feel comfortable enough in the space to share it with friends and family. It’s such an amazing feeling to host our loved ones on a regular basis. Waking up to a house full of people (and one cute pup!) makes my heart full.

Last weekend, our friends from the city came up for a night. When they arrived on Saturday evening, I had cocktails prepared so that they could ease into the suburban vibe and feel relaxed from the moment they stepped in the door. Before the sun set, we sipped on drinks in our sunroom, a room that had been empty since we moved in, that we recently decided to make it into a hangout space.

So far, we’ve painted the walls blue, layered two rugs with this striped one on top, put in a custom sofa with performance fabric so we can eat and drink in the room without feeling guilty, and a few decor items. We have a way to go with this particular space, but I wanted to give you a little peek at where it stands today.

And for everyone on Instagram who complains that I always wear sunglasses, eat your heart out with this post!

My Pineapple Cocktail Recipe:

  • Mix 1 part vodka with:
  • 1 part pineapple juice
  • 2 parts soda water/seltzer
  • Splash of St. Germain
  • Shake in a cocktail shaker and serve cold
  • Enjoy!
