At this point, you guys know how much I love J.Crew and how happy I’ve been about their latest few collections. But what makes me love them even more is their dedication to charitable causes including one that’s going on right now that you can be a part of.
J.Crew recently launched its second annual coat drive in partnership with One Warm Coat now through 12/25 where you can donate a gently worn coat (or any piece of outerwear) and get $25 off your purchase of $125 or more through Christmas. Whether or not you want the discount to shop, I strongly encourage you to donate a coat and make a big difference in someone’s life.
But if you do want the discount, you can use it to buy a new coat of your own or literally whatever you want!
Last year with this same event, customers donated over 12,000 coats nationwide, which is pretty amazing if you ask me! Think of the 12,000 people who had something warm to wear on a chilly winter day who didn’t before.
To find a store near you, click here and search in your area. All stores are participating in the J.Crew x One Warm Coat “My Coat Gives Warmth” event! The coats go to people in need throughout the US as well as seven other countries.
I donated a coat earlier this week, and hope that it brings some joy to someone going through a tough time.
Now let’s review these outfit details because there are a few things I’m fairly psyched about. The first is the embellished collar shirt that I’m wearing under my sweater. I was shocked and excited to see it on their website because I had the same version (without sleeves) years ago and it somehow got lost in the mix. It was one of those pieces of clothing that I thought about often and wished I still had. But J.Crew must have read my mind because they brought it back… and made it even better because it now has sleeves with even more embellishment! I love it under a bright red sweater for the holidays.
I also picked these high-waisted jeans because after buying these a few months ago (size down), I fell back in love with J.Crew jeans. Again, I was impressed with the quality and fit, and I love this darker color. They go perfectly with this incredible pair of leopard booties, no? My leopard shoe collection is getting out of control, and I love it.
I topped it all off with a grey Chateau Parka, one of my favorite winter coats of all time. I also have it in red and that one has lasted for about five winters now. I get it cleaned at the end of the season and it’s helped up really well!
So those are a few fun ideas if you want to put your $25 towards something bigger, but if you don’t want to go over the budget, this hair bow scrunchie is the perfect holiday accessory and is also under $20. The velvet one I’m wearing here is pretty great too!
Happy shopping! Happy donating! Please donate a coat. It couldn’t be easier. Taking a few minutes out of your day could change a person’s entire winter.

Thank you to J.Crew x RewardStyle for sponsoring this post and for gifting me product. All opinions, as always, are 100% my own. Photos by Julia Dags.
Which coat do you like better – the chateau parka or the cocoon coat? Which is warmer?
I like both but the Chateau is warmer for sure. It has a hood which helps with the warmth factor. Also it has multiple sets of pockets which I appreciate.
What a great idea! Love this look on you, your blouse is so pretty and I love the pop of leopard!

Win/win!
I’m happy to learn about J. Crew’s humanitarian efforts. Fashion should always serve a purpose that goes beyond consumerism.
Happy Thursday
