Ok so when did it turn into winter, you guys? This weekend was freezing cold… but in a good way. In a way where we spent hours on the couch under a blanket and sipped on hot tea. In a way where I finally had to pull out my fall boots. When the temps drop like this, I always revert back to my cold-weather uniform of black jeans and riding boots. It’s been my go-to for years and nothing has changed.
Remember a few weeks ago when I was raving about Levi’s new 700 denim line? I found yet another pair on Zappos, this time in black, and have been wearing them nonstop lately. Last week I wore this look to work (minus the hat and chambray) with a white blazer and then swapped out the accessories for casual drinks with my sister who is visiting for a week. That’s the thing about black skinny jeans, they’re perfect for any occasion.
I outfit repeated on Sunday when my friend Lizzie came to town. We spent Sunday afternoon shopping on Greenwich Avenue for new fall pieces. She’s one of those friends that, even though we don’t see each other that often (she lives in San Francisco), it always feels like no time has passed when we get together again. My husband is out of town so it was especially nice to have her over for a girl’s day of shopping and a night of cooking good food and drinking red wine.
