Before I get into today’s post, I have to mention the fact that I can’t even with my hair in these photos… I didn’t realize how bad it was until it was too late! So disregard the hair and focus on the adorable pineapple dress of my dreams. The best part is that when we were shooting this in Florida last week I asked Anel how my hair looked, and he responded with “Looks great!” Men… amiright?
Anyway, you guys know I’m having a love affair with the fruit pattern trend so when I spotted this pineapple dress and watermelon clutch, I knew I had to have them both… And wear them at the same time. #tuttifruti
They’re both from Talbots and both heavily discounted for their friends & family sale going on this week. If you’re into pineapples, they also have a blue skirt version of my dress which I love too. Remember this bow sweater and this blazer that I can’t stop wearing? Also on sale. Same with my gingham ribbon sandals! As I’m writing this I realize that the brand makes up half of my wardrobe…
Also, major shout out to the follower to said hi while we were shooting this one morning on vacation. I love meeting you guys, it makes me so happy!
In the name of transparency, just wanted to let you know that although this blog post isn’t sponsored (aka I’m not being paid to write it), the product was gifted to me and I was paid by Talbots to write about the sale on Instagram. I decided to make it into a full blog post because I’m obsessed with this outfit… And the brand which I can’t stop wearing apparently.

For what it’s worth, I think your hair looks great — relaxed and beachy! 🙂 Love the dress too!
Thank you so much!
I don’t get what is wrong with your hair…it looks so naturally brachytherapy…

Oh good, thank you! I thought it looked super messy 🙂
This dress is darling! You look so pretty. I love pineapples – have you seen that quote be a pineapple? Stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside. Love it! Happy Thursday, xAllie http://www.theallthatglittersblog.com
OMG love that! I hadn’t heard it, no!
I’ve realized being in my 30s now that my wardrobe has slowly been taken over by Talbot’s (the same place where my mom has bought most of her clothes for the past 30 years, ha). I feel like their quality and pricing is better than J.Crew, which used to be my go-to. I’ve also gotten a lot of great (and really cheap) stuff at the Talbot’s outlet in Clinton Crossing (right off 95 north in CT) if you’re ever driving that way.
Hahah same with my mom! She teases me now 🙂 I agree about the quality and pricing, and they seem to have a lot of good sales too. I’ll try Clinton Crossing, I’ve actually never been but have been meaning to hit it up.
Dress is adorable, and I love the fruit. I don’t know if its because I’ve gotten older, but Talbots has come so far from the pleated pants and old lady clothes of the 90’s. Their stuff if cute and classic.
Question in general, about how long does it take to take these photos, as a shy person, I feel like I would be running up on a step for the picture, then trying to blend back in with the hotel guests.
YAS! I don’t know if it’s because we’ve gotten older or their style has changed. I need to get my hands on an old catalogue!
Every outfit I shoot takes between 15 and 30 minutes. I used to be super shy like you but I’ve been doing it for almost 10 years now so I’m used to it. People stop to ask what I’m doing all the time but now I’m not so embarrassed about it 🙂
We also get up really early to shoot. We took these photos at 7am! The one perk of traveling with a baby who wakes up early haha.
I wish my hair looked as good as yours on vacation! I don’t get the “salty beach waves” like most women, I get the super frizzy helmet hair instead, ha!
I work for Talbots at one of their Company Stores, so I hope we get some similar items. So cute!
Hahah I usually get a frizzy helmet too which is why it’s always up on vacay!! 🙂
I also totally used to think of Talbots as such a “Mom store” (one of my best friends worked there when we were in high school and we loved giving her a hard time about it! lol) but they have had SUCH cute stuff lately! I just placed an order for a seersucker dress and two tops for work during the F&F sale. Love the outfit on you, Julia!
They have SUCH cute work stuff. If I still worked in an office, I feel like I’d only wear Talbots!!
This is so cute and summery!
