This weekend was a beautiful summer weekend in Connecticut, one of those times that I’m so happy that we moved out to the ‘burbs. It was sunny and hot but not too hot, humidity was low, and we had the perfect mix of down time and plans with friends.
On Friday night, we had our weekly date night where our new rule is that we leave our phones in the car. It’s weird and there are always 2-3 times over the course of dinner where we reach for our iPhones to look something up, prove a point, or check the next day’s weather to determine our plans. But it also forces us to have more meaningful conversations and connect without the constant distraction that we’ve all become so accustomed to.
We sat outside and it felt cool compared to the crazy heat wave we’ve been experiencing lately. Wearing a perfectly draped plaid shirt and long pants was comfortable, something I never could have done in August in the city. I usually take off my heels after we snap photos (Sorry but it’s true!) but this time I left them on because these leopard pumps are SO comfortable. I could have worn them all day.
Dare I say that fall is creeping into the air?

I love wearing a plaid with white in it with white denim in the summer, such a pretty combo.

The plaid and leopard is a combo I definitely wouldn’t have realized myself, but it works so well on you! I love that you almost treat both of them (or even one) as a neutral. So fab!
