We’re back at it with my first re-wear it post of 2020 featuring the most worn item of clothing in my closet over the last month. I got this Madewell sweater as a press gift about a month ago and didn’t think much of it at the time but it’s quickly jumped to the top of my reach-for-it-first pile.
No one: I mean, it’s a nice grey sweater but is it any different for other nice grey sweaters?
Me: Well…
It’s really warm and cozy but doesn’t make me sweat (magic?) It is somehow both thick and fitted. The pattern of the fabric has a slimming effect and the shorter sleeves make it look polished despite the fact that it’s a turtleneck sweater. It looks good with jeans, skirts, and even leggings. Every time I wear it (which is often), the people I’m with ask me about it and more than once have bought it on the spot.
It looks good. It feels good. It’s just a really good sweater. It’s something that I hope to re-wear for many winters to come. And it was the natural choice for this month’s re-wear it post given that I’ve been, well, re-wearing it so often.
FYI the fit is TTS. I’m wearing an XS which I only tell you because I always get questions about sizing.
I’ve been reaching for this skirt a lot lately. Whenever I go out to dinner with my girlfriends, I throw it on for something different when I’m sick of wearing jeans. I love the flounce it has and how it works for both summer and winter.

Outfit 2: Work
You might remember that I did a whole re-wear it post with these black work pants. I just love the fit and feel of them and they dress up an everyday casual sweater like this if you work in a casual work environment. Add a pair of pumps and your power pony and you’ve got yourself a work lewk. I definitely would have worn this into the office when I worked in one.

Outfit 3: My Go-To
I don’t know what is going on with the color of my eyebrows in these photos but I can’t stop laughing at them. I think it was the lighting and the way they were edited but I swear they’re not orange IRL!
In other news, I have been wearing this exact outfit more than once a week since I got the sweater, just varying my shoes as the weather changes. Favorite jeans + favorite sweater = go-to outfit.
