Perhaps for the first time in the history of the universe, we experienced a warm Easter Sunday in Connecticut. It was glorious! I was able to wear a dress without shivering, and we had the windows open with sun streaming in while we sipped on homemade lemon granitas (it was 80 degrees), and even sat on our back patio for a few hours.
My sister and her puppy came for the weekend, and we went for walks in the sunshine, got in some good workouts with Madison, and had a fun dinner with friends at Rothbard. In super exciting news, Anel put our crib together and the wallpaper in the nursery went up. We both had a pinch-me moment when we could finally picture what was an empty space as the place where our baby girl will rest her head at night. I’ll give you a little sneak peek in tomorrow’s post!
Overall it was a great weekend, and I’m throwing myself into the week with a bang. I’m heading to the city today and tomorrow for two packed days of meetings. I’ll be walking around a lot so will be wearing these slip on sneakers that are both cute and comfy. Lately, my feet start to hurt like crazy after about an hour of walking around so comfortable shoes and frequent breaks are a must. Any recs are appreciated!
Over the weekend, I wore this adorable cold shoulder chambray dress (only $66!) which is part of my friend Mara’s curated collection with Morning Lavender. It’s not a maternity dress, but I sized up to a medium and it fit perfectly! I love every single piece in the collection but some of my favorites are a yellow floral wrap dress, a striped linen midi dress, and a denim one shoulder dress. They’re all under $80 too! PS this dainty gold “mommy” necklace is a great gift for new moms and only $15.
I paired the dress with my Hat Attack striped hat for a full blogger collab outfit. The outfit, and most things about this weekend made me feel so happy. I’m definitely going into this week with a sunnier disposition than usual!

This dress is so cute! My Easter weekend included a lot of the same. Couldn’t believe how warm it was! Had to be outside before spending a week in the office. Have a great Monday!

It was the absolute best. Fingers crossed that next weekend is the same 🙂
That dress is darling! I totally have it on my list. I love that it has the cold shoulder trend without being too extreme. I may have to order it!
Yes, I agree! Not too extreme but very on trend. You will love it 🙂
Love that dress! So darling for spring & summer!

Love the dress (and all of Mara’s designs)! So cute for Spring and Summer.
Also, comfy shoe recommendation – I discovered Riveras shoes last year and am obsessed with them. They are comfy, cute and they have the right amount of give (I have wide feet so this is super important for me) Here’s their website: http://rivieras-shoes.com/news/en/ (for some reason it’s mostly featuring men’s shoes but they do sell women’s); it looks like ShopBop also has them: https://www.shopstyle.ca/browse/womens-shoes/rivieras
Cheers!
