Dress c/o / Choker and Long Necklace c/o / Hat
This weekend, I attended the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic with some girlfriends. Every year I look forward to this event and, as usual, it didn’t disappoint! They seriously upped their game and made it an experience to remember forever. Last year and the year before (when my outfit made it into the New York Times!) were a little more debaucherous but this weekend’s match felt a little more refined yet equally as fun. As rose garden guests, we were each given a wrist band that gave us access to a bottle of rosé champagne and a cute little box of lunch (filled with a vegan, GF wrap, a kale salad, and an almond raspberry financier).
I knew it would be hot so I wore this gorgeous flowy maxi dress from Banana Republic (on sale!). It was loose enough to keep me cool but figure forming enough to be flattering. I rarely wear purple but the lilac shade of the flowers was different and stunning. Maybe purple is my new navy… Just kidding 🙂 On a total side note, Grace and Jess were also wearing dresses from Banana and I loved them both (Check out Jess’s preppy blue ruffles here and Grace’s elegant ombré here). Has anyone else noticed that they’re killing it lately?
I paired it with delicate jewelry from Kendra Scott– a lovely little choker and a dainty y-necklace both in yellow gold. I loved the delicate jewelry paired with the feminine print of the dress. The only accessory I forgot? Sunscreen. My sunburn is still seriously burning two days later.
