The first week in January is always an interesting one. It’s full of excitement and hope about the new year ahead but there’s also a slight sadness at the fact that we have to say goodbye to all of the Christmas trees, sparkle lights, and the general magical feeling that the holidays bring.

I feel motivated to hunker down, get shit done, do a cleanse (I’m starting a 3 day juice cleanse c/o Pressed Juicery next Monday!) and stop eating and drinking like it’s my last day on earth. But I’m also missing my family and spending time at home being taken care of by my parents. Am I the only one who feels these conflicting emotions?

I’m grateful that I have a job I love that I can go back to where I can focus my attention for the remainder of the week.

Because the environment at work is pretty casual, I find myself wearing a variation of this outfit almost every day: jeans, a button down, a sweater, and some bling. It’s what comes naturally to me. I’m not used to waking up so early so whatever is quick and easy seems to make the most sense for now. Maybe I’ll actually start to get creative once I get into a groove!

I can’t stop eating either. Haha. I’ve gained ten pounds since mid-December! I’m antsy to get back into a groove with normal eating habits. Haha.

I’m not ready to say goodbye to christmas, I’ve still got a few more weeks to leave everything up. And to finish all the cookies in the house.

Love your white jeans, they look so pretty and fresh – white denim in the winter is wonderful.

Love the way you styled this, and the way you made white jeans look so “winter-y”!! The outfit is so festive!

    Happy New Year!

It’s a nice, comfy but chic look. I too, am happy to go back to work and to re-start swimming and playing with the band, but taking it easy at home was soooo nice!
