Meet my friend Roxy Owens. Roxy is the incredible woman behind Society Social, a furniture company that brought the art of the bar cart back. Her furniture is bright, beautiful, fun, and absolutely lovely. Her rosy outlook on life, exceptional work ethic, and unbeatable decor style inspire me to be a better woman!

I wanted to feature some of her colorful photos and furniture so I asked her a few questions about her business AND she agreed to create a special “room recipe” just for Lemon Stripes! 1. You’re a successful business woman. What is your top tip for women entrepreneurs?
Problems aren’t problems. They are simply challenges you can solve.

2. What inspires your designs?
I love to entertain and live for a shared celebration with my favorites! Whether you’re hosting a big night or a quiet night in, furniture is going to be present in some way so creating a warm and entertaining-friendly environment that you’re excited to share with your loved ones is a must in my book!

3. What is your favorite color?
Red, red, RED!

4. What is your favorite food?
I love to eat! Everything! But sushi is always a fave.

5. What is your fave restaurant in NYC?
Too many to choose! But based on frequency, let’s say Penelope’s. It’s so cozy! My Mr. loves their chicken noodle soup and I’ve literally walked there just to stand at the counter and eat a chocolate cupcake.
