Spring Bedroom Makeover

Spring Bedroom

I have a problem with redecorating. Seriously it’s an addiction. But there are worse things to be addicted to right? I’m so so SO ready for spring so thought I’d bring a little bit of that inspiration into my bedroom with a cohesive spring color scheme seen everywhere lately from Zara, to runway shows, to Pottery Barn: Blue and white. Before, there were too many patterns and colors and it didn’t really tie together all that well (See before photos here).

This make over didn’t involve any new furniture, just new crisp white linens from Crane & Canopy (An amazing new startup that designs beautiful and high quality bedding at extremely affordable price points), ginger jar lamps, a navy throw pillow, and a bouquet of fresh tulips. Redecorating on a budget is totally doable, guys!

Because I’m such a terrible sleeper (see my tips for a better night’s sleep here), my bed is my sanctuary, so being comfortable and happy there is more important to me than any other area of my home.

I love the dainty blue trellis detail on these shams paired with the white duvet cover with a subtle sky blue lining.

Most of the details are so light and bright that the wallpaper draws the room together and makes it look not too sterile. A full room decked out in this pattern would be a little intense which is why we opted for one accent wall.

This is Anel’s night stand. I love how he loves this photo of us from our engagement shoot. He insists on keeping it there instead of swapping it out for something more up to date.

It’s old from West Elm. Wish they still made it because it’s so fab!

Yup – totally getting that PB Jewelry tree. My bracelets currently hang in a organizer in my closet that my son raids to play dress up with and/or hides them in his toy baskets. It’d be nice to save some of my favorites from this same fate 😉
