We got back from the most amazing week in the Dominican Republic on Monday night (full blog post recap next week) and jumped headfirst into a bonkers and chaotic week that involved me losing my wallet and having to replace all of my cards and IDs, another two hours of retreating my infected root canal (read: lots of drilling, ouch!), having to book a specialist appointment for each of my kids (both are fine, I think), oh and throwing two launch parties for my Ophelia & Indigo collection!
Needless to say, I am thrilled for some R&R this weekend. I’m actually taking my very first ever solo night away just for fun. I’ve traveled for work alone but have always wanted to treat myself to a relaxing day and night by myself somewhere and finally decided to just go for it. Back to the collection for a minute though… We sold out of the Honor top in one day which was a huge shock and surprise because we expected every piece to last through at least May if not longer. So thank you to everyone who shopped! The other pieces are all selling well too and I’m beyond grateful for your support. It looks like the Mary top will be the next one to go so if you’re thinking about it, now is the time.
On Wednesday, we threw a launch luncheon with some friends and influencers and I finally let it sink in that I actually did this. I realize in the influencer world there are collabs and partnerships like this all the time. They’re a dime a dozen and seem run-of-the-mill. But for me this was a really big deal. Last year I was feeling stagnant and depleted with work and I’m so proud of myself for making this happen and seeing it through. I genuinely love every single piece we created and can’t wait to see them on you guys once you receive them.
