Life Lately: Volume 86

When I tell you that 2023 has been the busiest, most exciting, overwhelming, fun, scary, and amazing year for me so far with work stuff, I am not exaggerating! I always told myself when Luca turns two I’ll figure out what’s next. And apparently that’s everything all at once lol.

Writing my cookbook has been fairly all-consuming but in the best way possible. It’s all I want to do. I love recipe testing and figuring out how to make dishes taste perfect for the book. It has me excited to get up in the morning and get to work. I feel so lucky that I’m able to do this. You guys, it’s going to be SO good! I can’t believe I have to wait until next spring to share it.

And launching my shop with Flagship last week was another really exciting consulting project that traveled over to the blog. It’s such a cool concept for content creators and small businesses and it’s fun to be one of the first people to have it go live.

This week we celebrated Luca and Anel’s birthdays which was quite festive. Amalia loves birthdays and decorating, so she and I had a lot of fun with that. I also got to moderate a panel on anxiety and gut health which was fascinating. Our gut brain connection is a lot stronger than I ever realized. I learned a ton and am hoping to interview the panelists for a blog post soon.

On a superficial note from the evening, I finally tried the KITSCH heatless curling set and fell in love with the curls it gave me. It’s such an easy, affordable (under $20!) way to get perfect curls.

Yesterday I did another really huge personal thing that I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid but I’ll share more on that next week! I’m planning to take the weekend off of social media and will see you guys on Monday.
