Surviving Tough Parenting Days

Hello and happy Monday! I had a bit of a rough weekend and wanted to just say a few things about tough parenting days and especially tough holidays because Mother's Day really hit me hard this year.

Both of my kids and Anel were getting over a stomach bug. It was day three of them all being sick and cranky, it was raining all day, and I had spent a good chunk of my week cleaning up puke and every other bodily fluid possible.

My sister, Lauren, is due with her second baby and my second niece (YAY!) at the end of this month and I am beyond excited to meet her. Her first daughter, Helen, is such a light in our lives. She is a happy, chatty, beautiful little gal and makes me so proud to be an auntie.

Vegan White Chocolate Tart

I'm having an off couple of weeks. There is no real reason for this I'm just down and anxious and not feeling 100%. Then yesterday's news of Roe v Wade being overturned threw me over the edge. I am feeling really sad and really angry today.

I had grand plans for some blog posts but can't pull myself together to write them so instead, I'm sharing this beautiful vegan white chocolate tart because I think we could all use something beautiful and delicious to enjoy today.

Life Lately: Volume 51

I had a very emotional week and feel absolutely drained as it comes to a close. We have a few fun plans this weekend and my goals are to give each of my kids some extended and fun one-on-one time over the next two days and to get myself back on track.

One thing I did this week that made a big difference in my evenings was to work out for 20 minutes between my work day and when the kiddos came home.
