5 Random Things: October

We are T-minus 2 weeks (and one day) until election day and I'm feeling more hopeful as time passes. I hosted a phone bank training with Young Women for Biden and started phone banking which can be both frustrating and inspiring at the same time. But it's also one of the most effective ways to encourage non-voters to get out and vote.

Fall Julia’s Fall Wardrobe Staples

By popular request, here is my annual fall wardrobe staples post. It's pretty much the same every year with minor changes. Because a solid blazer, a classic button-down, a great pair of jeans, and cozy sweaters never go out of style!

White Button Down: There is nothing quite like the perfect white button-down. And this one is the best one IMO.

Feeling Stuck

I've been sitting here looking at a blank screen for almost 15 minutes, cursor blinking at me, Carrie Bradshaw style. I don't know exactly how to communicate what I've been feeling lately but I feel like I need it off my chest so get ready for some word vomit.

If I had to put my feelings into one sentence it would be this: I feel stuck.

Pasta Alla Norma

Our garden has yielded more eggplant that we know what to do with! We've fried it, grilled it, made eggplant parm, and even made delicious eggplant chips in the air fryer. When Anel brought in yet another harvest last week I made one of my all-time favorite pasta dishes: pasta alla norma. Which is essentially just pasta with red sauce but somehow tastes 1000% better.
