Designing a Room: Traditional Designer vs Virtual vs On Your Own

I love interior design. If I could go back to school and start my career over, it would be in this field. Seeing a room come to life brings me so much joy. And I love seeing how people express themselves through their homes.

Over the years I've designed many rooms in many different ways. I get a lot of questions about how it all works so today I'm sharing the processes, costs, pros, and cons of working with different types of design services.

Let’s Vote

We're at t-minus 78 days until the election and I, for one, will be doing everything I possibly can to get as many people out there to vote. Whether it's wearing a VOTE sweatshirt so someone at Trader Joe's remembers to register, sharing resources on Instagram, or volunteering to make phone calls, this is going to be a big fall focus for me.

Help Me Support Our Teachers

As kids gear up to go back to school in a few weeks during the most intense time most of us have ever lived through, I wanted to find a way to support the teachers who are both risking their health and doing the invaluable work of educating our children during the COVID era.

I recently learned that many teachers not only have to buy most of their classroom supplies but also have to supply their own PPE.

My Summer Hair Care Routine

There hasn't been a lot of great news coming out of the summer of 2020 but on a very superficial level, I have finally mastered my summer hair care routine so I'm going to go ahead and call that a win.

I have not blow dried it since March but am able to make it look presentable (when I want to which isn't very often lately!) in a matter of minutes.
