Last summer, I could only squeeze into one pair of shorts from my (very impressive) collection. I lived in flowy, waistless dresses and panic-bought oversized cotton pants to get by. Physically and mentally, I wasn’t in a good place. I was dealing with Epstein-Barr Virus and some pretty debilitating anxiety. In short... I was a mess.

Guide to Comporta, Portugal

For big birthdays in my family, my dad always gives us a trip in lieu of a physical gift and lets the recipient pick the location. For my 30th, we all went to Sicily and it was a dream come true. None of us have ever been to Portugal and it had been on my short list for years, so I chose it for my 40th!

Tzatziki with Crispy Chickpeas & Fresh Herbs

This dip is so good as a snack or part of a mezze platter, but you can also turn it into a full meal by adding a scoop of quinoa or rice and some chopped veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, olives) and pulled chicken on top.

I made it a few weeks ago and just dipped crackers into it for lunch!

Random Things: May

I’ve been on a major reading and TV bender lately (is that a thing?), and I regret nothing. Between cozy evenings curled up with a good book and zoning out to shows after the kids are in bed, this little list is a mix of everything I’m loving right now.

From tearjerker books to trash TV I can’t stop watching (oh hello there, SLOMW) to what might be the best comedy on TV, I've done it all.
