Father’s Day always sneaks up on me, and every year I find myself scrambling at the last minute to find something thoughtful that my dad and husband will actually use and love. When we moved into our house (over 5 years ago now!), we finished the basement, assuming that it would one day be a space where our kids could hang out together and/or with friends. At that time, Amalia was only two so going down there alone wasn't really an option. Now that the kids are 4 and (almost) 8, they're ok to play without me in the same room.
Happy Friday! It has been the most beautiful week here in Connecticut and I can feel the dread of winter slipping away day by day. My tennis group had our first outdoor lesson of the season this week and I was literally hopping up and down in delight the entire time. I love this time of year so much!
