Last week, the flu kicked the you-know-what out of me so I wasn't able to prepare as many posts as usual for this week. Luckily, one of my favorite chefs, who also happens to be a blogger, offered to do a guest post for Lemon Stripes. I couldn't be more thrilled to have the lovely Robyn Youkilis guest-posting today!
Every Christmas I choose a different wrapping theme and then go all out. You can see last year's plaid theme here. This year I went for red and white polka dots and topped it off with thick, cozy looking yarn instead of ribbon. It makes me so happy to look at these under the tree and I hope it makes my family and friends even more happy to receive them!
I feel like every outfit I wear this season includes at least a splash of red and some sparkle. I can't believe that Christmas is only 12 days away.
I've been in bed with the flu for the last two days so my amazing post that I had planned (photos and a recipe for Oreo truffles!) will have to wait until next week. Sorry about the delay but more to come tomorrow. I'm actually doing much better today because I followed my strict guide for how to get better when you're under the weather.
Last week, H&M was having a super sale where I bought this necklace, bracelet and blazer for a total of $32. Pretty impressive, eh? I was going to wear this bright red jacket with a pair of black jeans and a classic white button down but then I decided to jump headfirst into the holiday spirit and add a skirt that resembles a candy cane.
