Gingham and Spots

{H&M dress, J.Crew shirt and sweater, Stache Vintage pin, Steve Madden flats, Michael Kors watch}

I'm totally into layering and mixing patterns and with this fun little outfit, I was able to do both. Leopard spots and gingham don't traditionally go together but somehow it works without looking totally bananas. Now that I'm seeing the photos, it looks a little school-girlish but sometimes it's fun to dress like a kid!

Corporate Sparkle

{H&M skirt; Ralph Lauren shirt; Alice & Olivia shoes; Pink Pineapple earrings, J.Crew belt, iLoveMe ring}

People ask me all the time for ideas about what to wear to work. I happen to be very lucky to work at Integrative Nutrition where we don't have a super strict dress code. But sometimes I like to get dressed up in more traditional work clothes, always having fun with it, of course.

Bold Florals

{Three Dots dress c/o; Jennifer Zeuner and RJ Graziano necklaces; J.Crew pumps}

In the past, I haven't really been a floral print kind of gal. I usually stick to stripes and dots and keep it simple. But this season I want to take "risks". (I realize that a wrap dress and pearls isn't risky for most but the pattern is a step out of my comfort zone!).

Lessons from Bosnia: Part 1

{sharing the road with some new friends}

I know that my blog is supposed to be about fashion...and food. And I promise to give you a phenomenal outfit post tomorrow (think bold colors and pearls!) but for now, I want to share some thoughts from my very eye-opening travels to my husband's home-country of Bosnia.

When Anel was 11, he left Vrbanja, the town that he had lived for his entire life, to come to America.

The Amalfi Coast

{looking out at the view from our hotel}

Last week, my husband and I returned from the most magical honeymoon ever! We spent over a week at Palazzo Avino in Ravello, a small town on the Amalfi Coast. Then we went to Bosnia so that I could meet his extended family for the first time (more on that later this week!).
