I bought this dress in Martha's Vineyard last week not only because I adore the preppy pink and navy stripes, but because the fabric is thick and substantial, which makes it a good piece for Fall. That same day, I picked up a couple of Alex & Ani bracelets.
I recently went through a serious dress drama. This week (2 weeks before the big day!), I had to buy a new dress. The original one that I had bought (back in January!) was tailored incorrectly and I no longer felt beautiful, happy, or comfortable in it. Luckily, I snapped up a gorgeous Monique Lhullier dress at the Mark Ingram sample sale.
I know it's a huge cop out to post a bunch of Instagram shots but with all of our wedding plans and stress, I wanted to keep my vacay last weekend as low-stress as possible. Here are some highlights from our relaxing trip that left us well-rested and tanned.
Labor Day marks the end of summer which means it's time for us to prepare for the cooler months ahead. I want to go back and remember all of the fun I had and all of the bright summery outfits that I wore. Although this summer was very stressful for me with the wedding planning and such, I still enjoyed some beach weekends and bbqs and I certainly enjoyed dressing for the steamy New York days!
For this week's IFB Project, I tried to get inspired by what I think will be one of my go-to trends for fall. As you know, I'm a stripes gal all the way but instead of my summer white and blue paired with neon colors, the fall version will be black and white stripes paired with rich reds.
