I love love love a good fisherman sweater. It's classic, never goes out of style, and is always extra warm. My favorite one will always and forever be this LL Bean tunic version that I've had for years and will never grow old. I'm constantly throwing it on over sweats or yoga pants on chilly nights, and I love how it looks with a perfect plaid shirt underneath too.
This week has been an emotional one for many of us. To see the outpouring of other women sharing that they, too, have experienced some sort of sexual harassment was eye opening, frightening, yet not surprising. When I shared #MeToo on Instagram, my husband couldn't believe it. I shared a few experiences and he saw things clearly from a women's perspective.
Now that it's cold again, I'm craving all of the soups. Like all of the time. I buy a lot of pre-made ones at Whole Foods for quick and easy dinners, but there's nothing quite like a homemade batch of fragrant soup cooking in my kitchen on a cozy Sunday at home. Like any living breathing human, I love butternut squash soup, but am sick of making it the same way every time.
In my early 20s when I was living in New York, I used to go out with my friends... a lot. Hard to believe now, I know! One night we went out and I kissed a boy wearing a thermal shirt. From there on out, my friends referred to him as "waffle shirt" and made fun of me to no end.
