My New Morning Routine

I feel like every blogger I follow is constantly writing about their morning routine. I have too, in the past. And while I sometimes wish my mornings were still filled with sun salutations, oil pulling, and 10 minutes of meditation, they're not. But in a way, they're better because I appreciate the quiet and fill it with things that both make me feel centered and are productive.

The Coziest Sweater for Fall

Happy Monday! I had a pretty laid back weekend, but it was much needed after our trip. I went to a baby shower and then we had some friends over on Saturday for early apps which is our new favorite activity with them. They had a baby a month after we did, so dinnertime is tough for all of us.

Our Philosophy on Pacifiers

One of the “mommy questions” I get asked most often is if we use a pacifier or not. If you had asked me before I had a baby if we’d use one, the answer would have been totally different, so I thought I’d share my thoughts for other new mamas trying to figure it all out.

Dropping the Swaddle

We've come to a point (at 11.5 weeks) where Amalia is no longer down with being swaddled. Up until now, she has felt comforted by swaddles, and as soon as they're on, she calms down and immediately yawns. They signaled bedtime or naptime, and made her feel safe.

All of a sudden, something switched and she screams when I try to put her in it.
