Wintry Mix

It is absolutely freezing in New York and finally feels like actual winter here. Somehow, in the coldest days so far this season, I've managed to lose my right glove! I suppose it's a good excuse to buy this fuchsia pair. It's time to bundle up, kids!

Save the Date!

Our wedding is finally starting to feel so real! My dear friend and fabulously brilliant graphic designer, Erin, has created the sweetest, most adorable save-the-dates that I have ever seen for us. Erin has also designed all of the elements here on Lemons & Loafers which is another reason why I think she's just the cat's meow.

Whiskey-Ginger

I'm not a big drinker, but once in a while I come across a concoction that makes me want to imbibe on a more regular basis. Lately I've been slightly obsessed with whiskey-gingers made with rye whiskey, organic ginger beer, and a slice of lime. It's refreshing but hearty enough for winter. Anel and I are thinking of making this our signature cocktail at our wedding next summer.

2011 in Photographs

As the year comes to an end, I'm reminded of all the amazing experiences I had in the last 12 months. From getting engaged to the man of my dreams, to becoming a big sister all over again, from Paris to Martha's Vineyard, and of course, New York City. Classic Pecan Pie With a Twist

Every year, my aunt makes her famous pecan pie for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I finally took a stab at it last year and made it mine it with a few small tweaks this year for the holidays (substituted dark chocolate for milk chocolate chips, cut down on the sugar and syrup). The dark chocolate chips add an extra dimension of flavor that make this pie a hit with every person who eats it.
