Babymoon in Newport

I never really understood the importance of a babymoon until I had my own this weekend. Anel and I have been so stressed out with working hard to get our ducks in a row before the baby arrives, that we haven't really relaxed or just enjoyed each other's company in months. Months! Yes, we've had the occasional date night, but often after long days I'm too tired to go out anywhere so we order in.

Life Lately: Volume 26

This week was all about nesting. I decided that I had to clean every single window in my house, inside and out and we finally organized our garage. It felt amazing! I also got a ton of work done and was extra productive for the first time in weeks. The sun kinddddd of came out finally, and this weekend is supposed to be beautiful.

How I Incorporate Protein Into My Diet

I've never been a big meat eater. My mom loves to tell the story that as a baby and small child, I refused anything with meat in it despite her best efforts. At age 14 I decided I was going to be a vegetarian (not vegan), and that lasted for almost two full years. I don't really know why I chose to do that, but it just felt right at the time.
