Today, like most days, I am in the mood for some sparkle, glitz, glamour, and glitter. I created a new Pinterest board called SparkleLove, and wanted to share some of my favorite pins here. Have a sparkly day!
As promised, I'm going to start cooking up and sharing a bunch of soup recipes starting now so that everyone is prepared for the long, cold months ahead. I tweaked this recipe for a Tuscan Ribolita (bean and bread) soup, by adding extra kale, less beans, and substituting organic chicken sausage for the Pancetta, and vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
I love our apartment, not because it's an architectural gem, not because it's grandiose (quite the opposite, in fact!), but because I've made it completely ours with little decorations and details that make us happy in a space that could easily be drab and dreary. When people come over to our apartment for the first time, they usually walk around, scoping out each shelf and surface, checking out all of the pieces below which are part of a huge collection of pretty things!
Growing up, we used to make a big deal each year about back-to-school shopping. My sister and I would make a list of what we needed for the year, and my mom would take us patiently from store to store, buying new jeans, boots, and cardigans. The tradition is still ingrained into me, and I make my Fall list every September.
