Hello and happy 2024, friends! It's been a minute since I've written any posts here but I fully took off over the last two weeks and it was so nice to truly unplug. And by nice I mean completely chaotic and not at all relaxing with two kids but I'm glad I got to focus 100% of my attention on them for the break.
I love getting all dolled up for New Years even if we're only celebrating with friends at home. This year we're heading to Vermont for a little ski trip with a group of friends and all of our kids. We rented a giant AirBnb and plan to put on some sequins, give the kids some sparkling cider, and celebrate in a low key way with high key outfits.
Growing up we had giant, food-filled Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners. The seven fishes happened on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, after the antipasti, everyone in my family would sit down to eat Italian Wedding Soup. I'm hosting Christmas dinner this year and plan to keep the tradition alive!
To me, Italian Wedding Soup tastes like family, the holidays, and comfort, and I could eat it every single day.
Our garage has been a hot dirty mess since we moved in four years ago. I'm not one to usually notice or care about a garage, but we enter the house through our garage so it was starting to get on my nerves. Anel had been talking about doing an epoxy floor forever, so we finally decided to just go for it!
