One of the things I'm most excited about in the new house is having a formal dining room. In Manhattan and our current apartment, we have a small kitchen table that I try to dress up but it doesn't compare to a real dining room whose full purpose is to be a beautiful space for eating.

I'm a little late jumping on the cape trend but this reversible plaid one called my name and I couldn't hold out anymore! Plus it was under $50 so I basically had no choice. Last weekend and the last few days have been absolute mayhem as we're scrambling to get a million things done before our move on Saturday.
I drink a lot of tea. I start my day with green tea and end it with chamomile, all year long even in the heat of the summer, so I love and appreciate all tea paraphernalia. Loose leaf teas and tea gifts are the perfect gift (for me, if anyone is asking) and a great way to help friends and family create a tea ritual that can last a lifetime.

I know I've been eluding to some big news lately but I wanted to wait until we officially closed to announce that... WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! Anel and I have been saving our pennies for over five years and finally came to a point where we were ready to bite the bullet.
