Last Sunday, my dad and his wife hosted a Memorial Day BBQ at their house. It was a perfect, 80 degree day with just the right amount of summer breeze action. We ate grilled cilantro marinated chicken, tomato salad, and homemade watermelon granitas (recipe coming soon).
I've written in the past about how making my bedroom a comfortable, perfect space is incredibly important to me. I like to focus on creating a space that is calm, inviting, and simple without too much going on. I have always designed my bedroom in blue and white which are colors that make me feel calm.

Coming back from a long weekend is no joke. After 3 blissful days at home in New Hampshire (see photos on Instagram), it was tough getting up this morning to head back to work. Part of me loves being on a schedule and I crave it over the weekend (I know, dafuq?) but this time around I actually let go and enjoyed the time off, working for only an hour each day as a rule.

Ahh I love summer so so so much! Summer weekends in Connecticut have been pretty great so far (I realize it's not actually summer but it certainly feels like it!). There are stunning beaches, our building has a pool, and we have been exploring new towns and restaurants which makes every day feel like a new adventure.
