When my dad was leaving my house after visiting last weekend, he waved goodbye with an "I'll see you next week for Thanksgiving." I looked at him like he was crazy. Then I looked at the calendar and realized that Thanksgiving is a week from Thursday.
Happy Monday, friends! I took Friday off of work for the holiday and visiting family and spent most of the weekend off of social media, and it felt so nice.

A few days ago I posted an Instagram Story featuring a simple weeknight dinner that I was making. There was a huge response with requests to share the recipe so I'm doing just that today! It inspired me to even potentially create a whole new series called "Easy Weeknight Dinners". Is that something that you guys would be interested in?
My Instagram feed, and the Instagram feeds of many bloggers, is filled with colorful outfits with captions like “Sunday brunch!”. But, let’s be honest, what I really wear on the weekends is not fancy. We go for comfort in my house, but try not to look like a family of slobs (although that’s been known to happen too).
If you follow me on Instastories, you know that I live in this fleece turtleneck (I also have it in navy and black, so don't worry I'm not wearing dirty clothes all day long!). It's my go-to for working from home and running errands because it's super cozy but also looks surprisingly chic for fleece. My friend Lauren and her sister started the company a few years ago and their turtlenecks have become a cult favorite in our neck of the woods.
