Little Monsters by Adrienne Brodeur: I finished this delightful book about a family living in Cape Cod, told from the perspectives of a sister, brother, father, and another mystery family member. They all have lots of deep buried secrets and it all twists and turns perfectly together.
Yesterday I made chicken soup because I had all the ingredients on-hand, and it actually got me excited for fall cooking. Hello! We are getting back into our groove here in the second week of school. Amalia is learning that 1st grade is a lot more work than Kindergarten and Luca is thrilled to be able to play on the "big kid playground" at daycare this year. Mama is just happy to be back on our normal routine.
Luca's tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy has come and gone and while I can say I never want to do that again, I can also say that I'm so happy we did it.
I received so many tips from other moms who went through this and while they were helpful and made a huge difference, it should be noted that nothing can fully prepare you for what to expect because every kid is different, every surgery is different, and every recovery is different.
