Last year I hosted Thanksgiving for the first time and it was somehow a smashing success. I prepared as much as I possibly could ahead of time and didn't go overboard on sides so that I wouldn't have to spend the entire day in the kitchen.
I went for a green and neutral tablescape that was a little lighter and fresher than the browns and oranges we usually see on Thanksgiving.
I am not and never will be a Halloween person (even if it is the dating-anniversary with my husband). Come November 1st I am all Christmas all the time. Give me every twinkle light, every pine-scented candle, and every nutcracker!
The day after Halloween, I was so excited about my new nutcracker collection that I swapped out my ginger jar collection for these guys and they will be living here until further notice.
My 2022 holiday gift guide is live! Wahoo! It is chock full of hundreds of incredible gift options for everyone on your list. I love/hate putting this together every year and spent the better part of the last month working on it. I have (and love) many of the gifts on here and am coveting a bunch of the others.
Where do I even start? There is so much going on. The most exciting news is that my mom flew in from California last night and my sister and her family are all driving up this afternoon so we will have a full house with 5 adults and 4 littles. I haven't seen my nieces since August and I cannot wait to squeeze them for a few days.
