When the doctor called to tell us the gender of our baby, I was so beyond excited I could hardly breathe. Or maybe that was due to the fact that I'm pregnant and can hardly breathe on most days, ha! The call consisted of her telling us first and foremost that our baby has a very low chance of chromosomal problems like Down Syndrome and Muscular Dystrophy.
Last Friday, I spent a (very cold!) day in the city for NYFW. If you're a long time reader, you know that Fashion Week is so not my thing, but there are a few events that I like to attend. One of them is the Kate Spade presentation. It's always fun and whimsical, and this year was no different.
Happy Friday, friends! What a week we've had. On Monday, I shared our big news and was floored by your loving responses. Anel and I want to say again just how much we appreciate your support and kind words. They truly mean the world to us. We had a busy week, but I took a break on Wednesday to walk on the beach with Boots and some friends to enjoy the beautiful 60 degree day.
First of all, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you for the incredible response to Monday's post. I can't get over how much love and support you guys sent to my little growing family. It meant the world to us, you have no idea.
I know a lot of you are excited to learn more about our process and what ended up working at the end of the 18 months it took us to get pregnant, so I'm going to share as much of my story as possible with you today.
Now that I have a growing bump, my jeans no longer fit. I was pretty sad about it at first, until I discovered maternity jeans. Man, did that discovery change my life! If you've never worn a pair, let me just tell you, it's like wearing sweatpants... that look like jeans. My mom bought me these for Christmas, and I'm hooked.
