Well today is the day, folks. A day I've been dreading since November 8th. Donald Trump officially becomes our 45th president. I'm torn about watching the inauguration today. While I would normally think it's important to watch under any circumstance, I feel like it will cause me more anxiety than anything else, so the jury's still out on that.
It's hard to believe the Valentine's Day is already around the corner, but here we are! Anel and I aren't big celebrators of this holiday, but we always try to mark it with a small but meaningful gift, and a nice dinner out. This year, we're hoping to travel somewhere warm that week, but have yet to book any tickets which is so unlike me!
I am beyond excited to be heading to Los Angeles with my sister a week from today. This winter has been extra brutal for me because we've cut way down on our traveling. With Anel's new business venture, we had to make some changes... But it's been hard to not have frequent trips to look forward to.
As promised, I'm finally sharing my favorite green smoothie recipe with you guys. I make a smoothie every day in the summer for breakfast, and every few days in the winter as a snack. During the colder months, I can't function without a hot breakfast, but by the afternoon I usually crave something sweet which is where this guy comes into play.
I've been having a major case of wanderlust lately. Maybe it's the fact that seemingly everyone on Instagram is in Cabo or Turks & Caicos, or the fact that it's already been a long winter and we have so much more to go. By this time each year, Anel and I have usually solidified a tropical vacation for February.
