One of the things I'm most proud of this year is that I founded a female entrepreneur group in my area. We meet monthly to network and find ways to support each other. I highlighted one of those women last week in my Shop Small post, and I'm excited to be highlighting another one today! The idea of local women supporting each other makes my heart burst, and I feel so lucky to have made so many entrepreneurial friends in my 'hood.
The days of holiday brunches and dinner parties are upon us, and with that comes that last-minute stress of buying hostess gifts. My tip? Buy as many as you can in advance so you have extras on hand when you're in a pinch. Cute presents like this striped mug (only $25!) or a fabulous gold-rimmed martini pitcher ($49) are universal enough that most hostesses will love them!
After last week's insanity, I manifested a beautiful weekend for myself, and it worked! I was able to take my mind off of the state of our union, if you will, and enjoy time with my family and friends. Saturday and Sunday were both perfectly sunny fall days, with a hint of chill and magic in the air so we tried to get outside as much as possible.
Plaid season is coming... slash it's already here but it's about to get here even harder if that's possible. As you know, I have an affinity for plaid so I'm not complaining about it! I just picked up this shirt (in Cherry Jam) and got SO many questions about it when I posted it on Snapchat, that I had to include it in my list.
Over the weekend, I popped into a bunch of stores to run errands, and every single one was set up for holiday with trees, wreaths, and over the top sparkle. I kind of loved it. When I got home, I started strategizing my holiday gift shopping strategy, which I plan to do a little differently this year by shopping small.
