Today I turn 28 years old. It might seem like a mundane birthday to anyone else, but for me it’s a big deal. For some reason, 28 was always the year that, as a child, I imagined I’d be a “real adult” and have my shit together. I pictured myself married (check), with a fabulous job (check), in a fabulous home (not so much . . . ), and maybe pregnant with my first child (not even close!). For some reason, in recent years I still felt pressure to be at a perfect place in life by 28.
Now that I’ve actually hit my scary age, I feel pretty good about where I am in life! Even though things are kind of up in the air with just having started a business, I feel so blessed to be in a position where I could follow my dreams, be married to a wonderful man, and be living in New York City.
My friend Hitha put together a “30 before 30” list last week on her 29th birthday. She’s inspired me to do the same so stay tuned for my list in the next few weeks.!
