Apple Cider Margarita

You know we love a good marg in the Dzafic house. Anel’s margarita recipe is a year-round hit. But I wanted to create a cocktail that’s perfect for serving on chilly fall nights and potentially even during apps on Thanksgiving.

This apple cider margarita checks all of my fall boxes: apple, maple syrup, cinnamon, delicious! If you want a smokier flavor use mezcal instead of tequila. I personally like a mix of tequila and mezcal but do whatever floats your boat.

Apple Cider Margarita

Makes 1 drink

Ingredients
– 1/2 cup, apple cider
– 2 oz silver tequila or mezcal (or a mix which is what I prefer!)
– 1 oz, Cointreau
– Juice from 1/2 lemon
– 1 tbsp, maple syrup
– Sugar, for rim
– Cinnamon, for rim
– Salt, for rim
– Apple slices, for garnish
– Cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Directions:
– In a shaker, combine cider, tequila or mezcal, Cointreau, lemon juice, and maple syrup with ice
– Give it a good shake
– Dip glasses in water, then into a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and salt on a plate
– Fill the glass with the marg, and garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.
– Enjoy (responsibly)!
