I have dreamed of dressing in matching outfits with my daughter for a long time. It started way before I even had Amalia. So any chance we get, I’m right on top of that, Rose. And until she starts pushing back, I’m here for it. When you add any sort of lemon situation to the mix, it’s an actual dream come true.
My friend Jen owns Sail to Sable, a local clothing company here in CT, and she gave us these matching lemon sweaters for spring. But obviously we couldn’t wait for spring to put them on right? Amalia’s is technically a dress in a size 2T which is why it’s rolled up, but come spring/summer it should fit her perfectly. I am not kidding you, I’ve never seen her like a dress (she favors cotton tops and leggings only) and she didn’t want to take this off for some reason.
Apparently my love for lemons is being passed down a generation. Bless up.
It’s not pictured here, but they also did a line of lemon print tunics and dresses with a hand painted pattern that is so fun. I will be bringing this tunic to Palm Beach in a few weeks.
And because I’m feeling extra sappy this week after one of the best nights I’ve ever had with my girl, I wanted to give you a little update about our relationship. Since going on medication, we are closer than ever. There is nothing quite like a mother/daughter bond, and I’m so lucky to have an amazing mom myself who I’m super close to. We talk every single day and we support each other through the highest highs and the lowest lows. I can only hope that my daughter trusts me the way I trust my mom when she’s an adult.
But for now, I am happy to report that I can finally take her out without anxiety. I can hang out with her and be fully present without crazy intrusive thoughts. I can tell she feels the difference. She seems happier, cuddlier, and smilier when we’re together.
For the last month or two she going through a super clingy phase and was basically attached to my leg whenever I was around, but in the last week, it’s starting to change and she is back to her usual, independent self. We are able to play, read, and have a great time but it’s not the end of the world if I walk out of the room.
I’m enjoying this phase to the fullest extent because everyone keeps warning me things will change a lot when she turns two. 18 months is the best age I swear. I adore this little girl. Her smile makes me happier than anything I’ve ever experienced.

The best! So happy you’re enjoying her and each other now, makes me so happy. Mine is 11 months and the twinning obsession is getting reals.
Also thanks for the Don’t Tell Mom reference
Awww 11 month is SUCH a good age! Enjoy it!
How do you think the sizing is on the lemon top you ordered? I love it but debating which size to get.
Fits TTS. Mine is a small. It’s not oversized or too snug which I like. Classic fit!
You two look so adorable together! And I love the lemons – how perfect!

She is adorable! I love those little bows in her hair and how they match the sweater perfectly!
The best part is that she actually kept them in for the whole shoot! It was a small miracle 🙂
This is so so so sweet!!! I need all of the cute lemon things!! That blue on both of you is so perfect, too!
