I don't even know how to start writing today. Like every mother, every American, I am heartbroken, completely gutted, and somehow both hysterical and numb inside. On Tuesday morning I took Amalia to her Kindergarten orientation to visit classrooms, meet her teachers, and get a feel for the school. A few hours later I read the news and it completely destroyed me.
Hello Memorial Day Weekend and the kick-off of BBQ season! Whenever I'm asked to bring a dish to a BBQ or summer party, I try to bring a healthy-ish crowd-pleaser that also looks good on a family-style table. This salad is one of my go-tos and takes less than 10 minutes to whip together if you use store-bought pesto.

Summer has hit the Northeast hard, fast, and early which is both amazing on a personal level and terrifying on a global level. Nevertheless, my children are none-the-wiser and have been fully enjoying the beautiful weather with lots of time outside on our new patio, playing with the water table, and trips to the beach. I love seeing them so happy playing outside.
