I can't believe that Memorial Day is again upon us in just over a week! We will be heading to my dad's house in New Hampshire for BBQs and celebrations with family. MDW is always one of my favorite weekends of the year. It brings the promise of a fun and sunny summer to come.
It was fun pulling together this little collage of outfit ideas for the first unofficial weekend of summer!
Full disclosure on this recipe: I was trying to make spring rolls for the first time (Youtube made it look so easy!) and failed miserably. But I had all the veggies chopped and ready so I pivoted and made it into a salad that was.... kind of incredible actually.
After taking this picture, I cut up the veggies a little smaller and mixed it all into a giant, delicious, fresh, bright, tangy, herby, satisfying salad but you could definitely serve it like this as an appetizer platter too.
Every marriage has its ups and downs and all the things in between. It's not just a cliché when people tell you that marriage is hard, but (in my experience) if you put in the work, communicate constantly, and make time for just the two of you, it's a whole lot easier and a whole lot better.

The weather in New England turned a corner this week and it felt like summer. We did a lot of playing outside with the kids, some great walks with Boots, and the warm temps put everyone in a good mood.
This weekend Anel and I are taking a little one-night adventure into the city as my Mother's Day redo since we spent the real one with two sick kiddos!
