I’ll be honest, fall decor (or any seasonal decor, really) just isn’t my thing. The one exception? I do love a Christmas tree moment… but I’m also ready to take it down on the 26th. Am I a Scrooge? Maybe! My kids certainly think so, which means every year I cave and add a few pieces to our home that feel festive each season without taking over the whole house.
I feel like I never know what kind of shoes to wear anymore. Can we please just go back to skinny jeans with riding boots? At least I knew how to do that properly! Instead of giving into the trends that make my head spin I'm trying to stay classic but updated to the current times.
Back-to-school season means settling back into a more regular work schedule, and we’re thoroughly enjoying the return to routine as a family. What I didn’t expect, however, is how late 3rd grade activities run which has definitely thrown us for a bit of a loop. The upside is that it’s pushed us to be more intentional about planning our weeknights which is good for my type A personality.
Lately, I can’t get enough of chocolate brown in my wardrobe. And my credit card is feeling it, lol. The color is warm, grounding, and just right for early fall. I’ve been buying everything from everyday basics to little statement pieces, and it somehow makes even the simplest look feel elevated.
