Six more sleeps until Christmas, you guys! I can hardly believe it, but it's true. Q4 flew by and 2016, the craziest year in so many ways, is coming to a close. Anel and I wanted to do something special for one of our last weekends of the year, so we drove down to Philadelphia for my sister's annual caroling party and made a romantic weekend out of it.

Happy Friday! It was quite the (freezing cold) week here in Connecticut. On Sunday night, I went to my very first NFL game to see the Giants play Dallas with my dad. After four hours in the cold, I woke up on Monday with a sore throat... shocker! I spent the week drinking lots of lemon, ginger tea and getting better because we have a big weekend ahead!

Now that we've lived in Connecticut for two years (I still consider myself a city slicker, but that's another story), I feel like I finally have a solid list of go-to restaurants and bars. I often get asked where to eat in Fairfield County, so I rounded up a list of some of my favorite spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
When planning outfits for holiday parties, it's important not to forget about outerwear! When you walk into the party, you're usually wearing it, so it can make a serious first impression. Last weekend, we had two parties in a row on Saturday, and I came prepared with my current favorite holiday-season coat. I'm obsessed with the shimmery fabric (You can't really tell how pretty it is from the photos) and the big gold buttons.
