Every year on Valentine's Day I buy myself a little something and gift something small to my girlfriends. This year I'm sending a few friends things I saw online that reminded me of them just to say I love you and miss you. One friend is getting this cheeky little ribbon, another got this pair of socks (not pictured), and I sent a pretty mug (also not pictured) to one more.
First of all, happy inauguration day! I woke up feeling positively giddy for the first time in a long time. I'll for sure be tuning in at 10am.

When you have a baby, it's amazing how friends and family surround you with love and bring lots of homemade meals and onesies for the baby. In a very overwhelming and scary time, it feels really good to feel loved. But after going through it myself and seeing countless friends have baby after baby, I've learned what new moms really want as a gift.
At this point in my pregnancy with Amalia, I had her entire nursery finished, her clothes washed and put away in drawers, and her closet was completely organized. This time around I have yet to buy him anything besides a pair of PJs and a set of onesies and realized recently we should probably make a plan for his room, so over the holidays we cleared out what used to be the guest room and moved that furniture to another room so we could start over with a blank slate.
