On Sunday, my grandmother and aunts threw me the most amazing bridal shower. I felt so loved and appreciated in a room full of women who were all there to celebrate me and the next big life step I'm taking!
This weekend, we stopped by the Brooklyn Flea Market for some trinkets, treasures, and lots of yummy food. The last time I was there was around this time last year, documented in this post. This time was even better because we really went all out on the food. We ate lobster rolls, organic beef hot dogs, fish tacos, and toasted coconut donuts.
A friend of mine and I always talk about how our significant others (her husband, my fiancé) always complain about throw pillow obsesions. I personally feel a severe need to change up my throw pillows every 6 months or so. It's a great way to change the look of your room without having to buy new furniture or art!
A few weeks ago, I went to my friend's baby shower where her mother made the most heavenly chocolate pie I've ever tasted. In her family, they call it "Chateau de Ville" and they eat it at every birthday, holiday, and family event. Now that I've tasted it, I know why!
I had to try it out for myself so I made it immediately after she sent over the recipe.
