Last Sunday, my husband and I decided that we had to go apple picking like every other preppy person in New England before it was too late with our friends Meg and Chris.

This weekend, I hosted a fun event at the Tory Burch store in Greenwich. I was lucky enough to pick out a look to wear to the event and went for this classically preppy (with a twist!) outfit that, as my friend put it, made me look like I was about to ride a horse to the country home.

Happy Friday, guys! I haven't done a proper round-up post in quite a while. I always love how Hallie recaps sales, links from the web, and reminds me of her posts that I might have missed earlier in the week, so I thought I'd try out this format here and see what you think.

I don't wear a lot of dresses or skirts. Last winter I got so sick of my boot and pant/legging combo that I vowed to change it up this year. I generally tend towards comfort so if I'm going to wear a dress all day to work, it has to be loose and flowy but structured enough to look professional.
