We've been living in our house for exactly a week and Amalia has finally started calling it home. For the first few days, she would cry whenever I told her we were going home, and then I realized that she thought our new house was called "new house" and our old house was called home. The sudden change in her semantics feels like a metaphor for how we all feel after settling in a bit.
Today is the day! It is the first day we’re spending in our new home and it still feels so surreal. Yesterday as the movers were packing up all of our stuff, I sat in our backyard and wrote down some of my favorite memories from living in our old house. I'm excited for our future but tears streamed down my face as I remembered some truly magical moments in our home.
If you can't tell by now, Brandless is one of my favorite brands out there. It all started when they hired me to promote a pop-up they were doing in New York last year. After touring the space with their marketing team and learning about the company, I fell in love. I've placed an order every month since then.
